We have canceled some of the Tornado Watch for our area. The main squall line has passed through and the risk for severe weather has diminished. However, the watch remains in effect until 7pm for the red shaded locations.
3:15pm: Strongest storms remain along and south of the Highway 84 corridor, particularly along the Highway 98 corridor. Tornado warnings in effect across southern Mississippi. Take cover if you are placed under a tornado warning!!!
Showers and thunderstorms will continue a little longer. Gusty winds associated with storms may move through the area with little to no rain. Continue to watch out for heavy rain. It is difficult to determine water depth, especially at night.
Here's a quick look at the forecast for today and tonight. Expect another warm and sunny day with highs in the lower 80s. Warm moist air will return to the area tonight, so lows will be in the mid to upper 50s.
