This prestigious fundraising event presented by Parents & Kids Magazine and Regions Bank, is in its 10th year, celebrating the unique and outstanding contributions that women make for the good of society. By improving the quality of life within the community and serving as positive role models for both young girls and adults, these fascinating women are great sources of service and leadership throughout our state, which speaks to the core of the Girl Scout Mission, which is to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

“It is a privilege for our organization to work with such phenomenal and dynamic women.  We hold these leaders up as beacons for today’s girls as examples of what they can be as they look forward to building a life and career for themselves.” Becky Traweek, CEO, Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi

Proceeds from the Girl Scouts Women of Distinction event will benefit the Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi and support programming in under-served communities, to provide support services to local troops and to teach outdoor exploration and appreciation.  The Girl Scout Leadership Experience includes programming, which incorporates three programmatic pillars: STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math), Literacy with a focus on Financial Literacy and Healthy Living with a focus on physical fitness and anti-bullying.
