USM Takes Down the State Flag

Hattiesburg - The Mississippi state flag is no longer flying over the University of Southern Mississippi's campus.

USM President Rodney Bennett ordered the flag to be removed this morning. The American flag has been added to fill the space.

This move comes just two days after Ole Miss removed the state flag from campus after a vote by the student body.
