Man kills three people in Wayne County


WAYNESBORO, Miss - William Miller of Alabama was arrested this morning after an overnight man hunt. Miller is in custody for shooting 41 year old, Sonia Taylor and burning two unidentified bodies.

Sonia Taylor was found in her home on Denim Progress Road. The two remaining bodies were found at Palmer Hollinghead Road about eight miles away from Taylor's residence.

The two bodies were badly burnt and unrecognizable. All three bodies were sent to a lab for examination.

Deputy Turner says, "While working the crime scene, the investigator Jamie Beard received a phone call and we were dispatched to reveal the possibilities of two more bodies that were in a burned car."

Investigators discovered two unidentified bodies in the middle of a ditch inside of a car. While at the scene they received information that a potential suspect, William Miller was seen on Boyles Road.

"Deputy Sheriff Patrick Johnson responded to the call, while Johnson spotted the car. He intitially stopped Miller for a traffic stop and the suspect fled" Turner says.

Mr. Miller ran into the woods and the Sheriff Department requested assistance from any available agents local and statewide.

Deputy Turner says, "A man hunt started around 4:30 PM and ended this morning from 8 AM with the arrest of William Miller and he is in custody this morning at the Wayne County Detention Center."

The Sheriff Department says they do not have a possible motive, however they are not ruling out drugs.

Deputy Turner further mentioned she appreciates the local and statewide assistance of locating Mr. Miller.

The investigation is still ongoing by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) and Wayne County Sheriff Department.
