Hattiesburg, Miss. - With the presidential primary yet to come, Mississippi officials have added another democratic candidate to the March 8 presidential primary ballot.
Forrest County Circuit Clerk, Gwen Wilks said, "When we first got the email, it was actually late last week. It was a Supreme Court decision to add another name to the ballot."
According to Mississippi's top elections official, the state is spending about $15,000 in order to add Chicago businessman, Willie Wilson on the primary ballot.
Wilks said "you know there's a small amount of inconvenience. You got to be prepared at any point in time for something to go wrong with an election. It happens, so you just do what you got to do."
With Wilson's name being added, Wilks made sure that all preparations were met.
Wilks said "it hasn't been that bad. We've got our guy here. He's copied the ballot and he's doing it right now. So we'll be ready Tuesday."
The last day to cast your vote is this Saturday.
