Accident leaves driver trapped in vehicle

MOSELLE, Miss. - Two vehicles collided with each other Sunday morning, leaving 3 occupants injured and one entrapped in their vehicle.

Firefighters discovered that a Nissan car and a Ford F-350 truck hauling a cattle trail had collided on Highway 11.

The Nissan car attempted to turn into a parking lot and was struck by the Ford, causing the driver of the Nissan to be trapped in his vehicle.

The extrication process took a total of 19 minutes to complete due to the extensive damage cause by the collision.

Three other occupants sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to Forrest General hospital.

The driver of the Ford reported no injuries.

Units on scene included Moselle and Union Volunteer Fire Departments, AAA ambulance, EMServ, Jones County Sheriff's Department, and Mississippi Highway Patrol.
