Lady Eagle golf fundraiser

Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Lady Eagle basketball team made its way to the Canebrake Country Club Monday for its annual golfing fundraiser.

This is the program's only fundraiser and this allows the team to raise money for supplement activities that are not usually covered in the team's yearly budget.

Head coach, Joye Lee-McNelis said, "Our golf tournament has been going on for right at ten years. We started out and we made minimum money and each year we have had tireless workers and volunteers that's really helped make a difference for us to be able to have continued success with our tournament and we have over 80 golfers that will be here participating."

McNelis wanted to thank all of the sponsors that helped with the fundraiser.

The sponsors were Newk's, Mugshots, Stokes Distributing, and Coca-Cola.
