Laurel PD arrests suspect after weekend foot chase

LAUREL, Miss. - The Laurel Police Department arrested Derrick McCann over the weekend after a foot chase ensued on the 2200 block of North 1st Avenue.

McCann is now facing one count of commercial burglary and aggravated assault, which stems from a previous complaint filed last week where a victim required medical treatment after an altercation with McCann.

McCann's bond for the burglary charge is set at $10,000 and $75,000 for the assault charge.
