Residents can dispose hazardous waste properly

PINE BELT, Miss. - Pine Belt residents can properly dispose of hazardous materials laying around their house Saturday.

The city of Hattiesburg, Lamar and Forrest county is hosting a 'Right Way to Throw Away' day at the Lamar County Multi-Purpose center and the Bobby L. Chain Airport.

Lamar County Development Official, Brian Neuman said, "Anything that you have at your house may be harmful and can either kill animals or harm the residents around you."

The goal is to educate residents in the proper way to rid hazardous waste and to encourage an environmental friendly community.
