LPD Drug Take Back results

Laurel, Miss. - The Laurel Police Department teamed up with the DEA this past Saturday for their fifth annual Drug Take Back event.

The event was held at the Laurel Police Department and it gave people a chance to properly dispose any prescription drugs that were old or were not currently being used.

The Laurel Police Department said this is the most successful Drug Take Back event it ever had.

The department collected over 99 pounds of drugs.

The department has collected over 260 pounds of prescription drugs in the last five years.
