Local elementary teacher was honored at the White House

Hattiesburg, Miss. - A local teacher made her way to the White House Tuesday.

Oak Grove Lower Elementary English and Language Arts teacher, Anna Morris, was one of the many teachers honored at this year's National Teacher of the Year ceremony.

The William Carey alum won Mississippi's Teacher of the Year in 2015 and was also recognized as the Fourth Congressional District Teacher of the Year.
