Late night shooting in Prentiss, 1 injured

PRENTISS, Miss. - Authorities are searching for a suspect after a shooting Thursday night in Prentiss.

 

Prentiss Police Chief Joe Bullock says bystanders heard multiple shots on First street around 10:30 pm.

 

According to authorities, witnesses heard two people having an altercation before the gun shorts.

 

When police arrived on scene the victim was by himself behind a house with gun shot wounds to his abdomen.

 

The department is looking into several suspects. Bullock said, "The victim is currently in stable condition."
