HPD welcomes 95th police officer

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Hattiesburg Police Department and Mayor Johnny Dupree welcomed, 34, Zachery Robinson into the police force Monday.

Zachery Robinson originally served as an officer for HPD back in 2004-2005.

Robinson decided to rejoin the police department to make a positive impact on the Hattiesburg community.

Robinson said, "I am surprised everyone is here and I am glad that it shows the brotherhood that is actually here in Hattiesburg."

The department will graduate 9 more officers in the academy next week.
