"Hattiesburg Reads" finds a second home

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The City of Hattiesburg found another place that will implement a “Hattiesburg Reads” section in its establishment.

The O'Charley's Restaurant on Hardy Street is the second place to have a “Hattiesburg Reads” section.

Mayor of Hattiesburg, Johnny DuPree said, "Reading is important. It's so important that we want to put it where children are, in parks, in zoo's, in walkways, and then in restaurants. And so for O'Charley's to come in and do this as well, it really highlights how important education is to the City of Hattiesburg."

Kids can come inside the restaurant and pick up a book while they wait to be seated or while they are eating.

The Burger King on Broadway Drive is the other location where “Hattiesburg Reads” is at.
