Former USM golfer plays in PGA tournament

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former Southern Miss men’s golfer Freddie Janneck opens play today, June 9, at the FedEx St. Jude’s Classic being played this week at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tenn.

 

Janneck, who lettered for the Golden Eagles from 2009-11, tees off this afternoon at 2 p.m.

 

He qualified for the event by shooting a six-under 64 in the St. Jude’s qualifier. Janneck, who lives in Fort Worth, Texas, makes his debut today on the PGA Tour.
