Soldiers involved in Humvee accident near Camp Shelby

PERRY COUNTY, Miss. - Early Friday morning soldiers were involved in an overturned Humvee accident on Highway 98.

According to Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) Officer Brent Barfield the accident occurred at 7:17 a.m. near the East Gate Camp Shelby Road.

The military vehicle was driven by Ryan Adams, 23, of Johnson City, Tennessee, when it left the roadway to the left, entered the median and rolled over said Barfield.

Ryan Morris was the passenger in the vehicle and both were transported by ambulance to Forrest General Hospital with moderate injuries.

The accident is under investigation by MHP.
