Forrest County School District, no new taxes


FORREST COUNTY, Miss. - The Forrest County School District may be getting a break on its taxes.

Superintendent, Brian Freeman said district leaders asked the board of supervisors to not increase taxes.

Millage will stay the same for Forrest County School District residents, which is a current rate of 52.71 mills.

The school district's cap space has dropped from $55 million to $52.7 million.
