Hub-city business catches fire early morning

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - A local business caught on fire early Thursday morning. HFD responded to the blaze at Realty Executives on 118 Lamar Blvd around 6 a.m.

Fire Marshal Stephen Mooney said firefighters spotted the blaze during a shift change and alerted dispatch. "They made an immediate response and suppression attack on the building and extinguished the fire."

HFD, Investigation Units, and State Fire Marshal worked together to determine the origin of the fire said Mooney.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is still under investigation.

Mooney said no one was injured.
