Hattiesburg Walmart Contact Center closing
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Hattiesburg Walmart Contact Center in the Cloverleaf mall will close in September, said Walmart spokeswoman, Anne Hatfield.
Hatfield released a statement and said, “After careful review of a number of factors, we have made the decision not to renew the lease of our Hattiesburg Contact Center. We will relocate the facility to existing space we have in Bentonville, Ark. The decision not to renew the lease of our Hattiesburg Contact Center was reached after a thoughtful review process that includes a number of factors, including strategic alignment with long-term plans.”
There are approximately 200 associates at the Contact Center and our priority is to take care of them. We are offering associates top priority if they are interested in applying for open positions in our local Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs.
We will also provide associates with resume building, interview coaching, recruitment assistance and other resources to help them find their next opportunity, whether it’s with our company or somewhere else. The Hattiesburg Contact Center has been open 12 years. The last day of operations is September 9th.
