LAUREL, Miss. - The City of Laurel dedicated members of a local band Friday.
A park bench is now at Mason Park in effort to honor the 50th anniversary of the formation of Jagged Edj.
Retired teacher, Cynthia Welborn said, "I thought it was appropriate and all-together proper that we should do a dedication of events, so that when people walk this park, they would be reminded of these native sons who return each year and show their love and devotion to the City of Laurel."
Jagged Edj member, John Helveston said, "It's wonderful to always be together and truly we were humbled by the mayor's words today. Because I mean we're just some guys that grew up in Laurel and we love it."
