Habitat for Humanity Restaurant Tour receiving good numbers

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Habitat for Humanity is closing in on its sixth annual Restaurant Tour.

The Restaurant Tour is a daily fundraiser event that will help the company be able to continue building new homes.

Laura Goodwin-Wright, Habitat for Humanity staff member said, "We partner with local restaurants to do a give back day. We try to do four weeks every year. This week we had some restaurants interested and wound up with five weeks."

"Our agreement with most of the restaurants is a percentage of proceeds, plus a gift card. So we have an entry bucket every day at each restaurant. You can enter to win that gift card and we already way exceeded last year, so we're looking really forward to having a really beneficial fundraiser this year," said Goodwin-Wright.

Wright said Monday’s tour was at Which Wich.

For the rest of the week, the tour will be at Newks, Five Guys, Raising Canes, and Thirsty Hippo.
