Kim Bradley looks to focus on his businesses
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Hattiesburg City Council President, Kim Bradley recently announced that he is retiring as president.
"It's been a tough couple of years. I think the council has completed its work as far as wastewater. There's really nothing big looming. It's taken a lot of time. It's taken a toll on me, on my family," said Bradley.
Bradley was a city councilmember back in June 2005 and served as president after Hurricane Katrina.
"When the Dixie Youth Baseball Association wanted city land to build their five fields and the administration opposed it, and the council stood up and voted and gave them the land. They then raised $1.5 million to build that facility to go out there is awesome. That is the most memorable moment that I have as president," said Bradley.
Carter Carroll will now serve as Hattiesburg City Council President.
Bradley said he will now be focusing on his businesses, which are Taylor Rentals and a couple of laundry mats.
