Cargo truck catches fire on Interstate 59, traffic delays
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - An 18-wheeler truck caught fire on Interstate 59 Southbound near Exit 60 Thursday morning.
Hattiesburg Fire Department's Chief Paul Presley said, "Firefighters responded to the incident around 5:40 a.m."
Chief Presley added, "The tires blew out and they caused the cargo to catch fire."
The incident caused traffic to stall for about five hours said Chief Presley.
No injuries were reported.
