Dixon finishes in top 6, MasterChef
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Hattiesburg's own MasterChef contestant, Katie Dixon was eliminated Wednesday from this year's MasterChef.
Dixon made it to the top six and was very proud and grateful for the experience she gained from MasterChef.
Dixon said "the biggest thing I've probably learned is deep down inside I'm who I am and I want that to shine through. I'm a very blessed individual and I have a big heart and a lot of love for cooking and I know that I'm where I am right now through pushing myself through hard times in life. And it truly feels wonderful to be doing what I love and I feel so blessed to be able to cook every day. Not everyone gets to say they truly get to do what they love every day. And more so than ever after the MasterChef kitchen, I know I'm called to cook, and so that's a really good feeling."
Dixon said her favorite MasterChef winner, was Hub City's own, Whitney Miller from season one.
