Hattiesburg police need public's help identifying body

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Hattiesburg Police Department found a deceased body Saturday morning on Davis street. Authorities said the body was found behind the Hattiesburg Public School District offices in a wooded area.

Lieutenant Jon Traxler said the department needs help identifying the female body.

"She is a white female, 5 foot 4 inches, mid to late 40's, light brown eyes, dark brown hair just above the shoulders, and is approximately 230 pounds" said Lt. Traxler.

He added, "This is someone's daughter, possibly cousin, sister, mother, she was someone's friend."
