One stabbed, one shot in Marion county

MARION COUNTY, Miss. - This is a press release from Marion County Sheriff's Department.

On the 21st day of September,2016,the Marion County Sheriff's Office received a call for service to 395 Tolar Road in the Goss community of Marion County in reference to a shooting and stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found two male subjects at the scene, wounded from an altercation.

Ryan Broom had a possible stab wound to the left arm and James Dustin Brewer was found with a possible gunshot wound to the back.

So far in the investigation, the two individuals that were injured are the only two parties involved. Details of the altercation are unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing by the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
