Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen unexpectedly closes down

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen on Hardy street unexpectedly closed down Monday.

Cheddar's Corporate located in Irving, Texas sent a statement out to the public:

“After four years in this location, we have made the difficult decision to close our Turtlecreek Crossing location due to its struggle to remain profitable. We appreciate the Hattiesburg community’s support through the years and as a token of gratitude, we are offering severance packages to team members based on tenure.” David Reckner, Regional Vice President at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen

The statement at the Hattiesburg location stated:

"As of September 26, 2016 this restaurant is closed permanently. We appreciate your support over the past four years, and hope you will have the opportunity to visit us again at one of our many other restaurants across the nation."
