Hattiesburgers enjoy Downtown BBQ competition

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Hattiesburg residents enjoyed authentic BBQ Sunday at Walthall Park for its 4th Annual Downtown BBQ Showdown.

There were 27 BBQ experts from all over the country competing for the $10,000 cash prize. The event was a fundraiser for the Historic Hattiesburg Downtown Association and was sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society.

The winner of the $10k prize went to "Booty-Que" from Fairhope, Alabama.
