African American Military History Museum held open house for Veterans Day
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The African American Military History Museum held an open house Friday.
This was a chance for locals to enjoy refreshments and to check out the history of African Americans who have served their country.
Director of Marketing & Communications, Marlo Dorsey said, "We've had a lot of traffic here today. People visiting seeing all the wonderful things that the museum has to offer. We fully support our veterans of course. We do that 365 days a year. But today specifically, we wanted to open our doors and make sure that people knew that they can come and see all the wonderful things that our veterans here locally had to offer."
"We have a lot of artwork from elementary school children just wanting to share how much they love our country, and how thankful they are for the men and women that have served," said Dorsey.
