Local holiday shoppers grabbing 'hottest' items

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Pine Belt folks rushed to stores early morning to get the best Black Friday deals. During this year's post Thanksgiving blitz, local residents said they wanted televisions and laptops.

Holiday shoppers left Best Buy with 24 inch LG televisions starting at a whopping $79.00.

FOX 23 caught residents on the street, some said they bought laptops and TV's items simply because it was a good price.

Cerise Smith said, “Now I was out last night, idk, till like 1 or 2 o clock. Went home took a nap, and I just decided to, come back out again this morning, I’ve been out since 6 o clock this morning."

Smith continued, "And I have already bought one, but now I am over here buying a second one (laptop).”

A couple said they were not searching for a television, but Best Buy's Vizio 50 inch TV was too good of a deal to not buy one.

“We just uh looked around and checked to see what kind of prices they had, on stuff, walked in, saw this TV right here, for $349.00 and had to buy it" said Stephen McKinley and Devan Gaudin.
