Salvation Army behind Red Kettle goal, needs community's help
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Red Kettle Campaign for the Hattiesburg Corps of The Salvation Army is low on its Red Kettle goal this year.
The Corps set a goal of $300,000 for the campaign in order to fund vital services to those in need next year.
Donations at this point are $50,000 below where they were this time last year.
Captain Patrick Connelly said the organization is concerned. "The Red Kettle Campaign gives us a financial boost heading into the new year, so this is a very important time for us."
