Mayor of Laurel, Johnny Magee said, "Downtown is the busiest it has been since I've been in city government. New shops are opening. They are remodeling new shops. It's just a hustle and bustle downtown, and it's great for the city right now. People are walking, and jogging, and biking downtown again. It's just vibrant downtown.”
Mayor Magee said Laurel Main Street and Josh Nowell have really contributed to the growth of Laurel.
