City of Hattiesburg encouraging financial awareness

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The city of Hattiesburg and Bank on Hattiesburg coalition teamed up to help improve people's finances Tuesday at the Train Depot.

Best-selling author and economic empowerment leader, John Bryan spoke to people about the proper steps to become financially fit.

Community leaders believe its an important event for the area, “You are building a stronger financial base for yourself as an individual and as a household, but it also builds and it grows financial stability as a city and as a whole" said Dawn Schluckebier Principal Associate with Economic Opportunity.
