Donald Trump campaign bus stops in Jones county

January 11, 2017

JONES COUNTY, Miss. - The Donald Trump campaign bus made its way to Jones county Wednesday. The bus is currently traveling across the southeast to thank its supporters for Trump's win into the White House.

“When we first got involved with the campaign, back in 2015, and we said, win-lose or draw, we’re gonna come back and thank those people, that did the hard, hard work, of walking door to door, putting up yard signs, doing the telephone calling" said Mitch Tyner, former Chair with Trump for Mississippi.

Tyner said, "To many times someone works on the campaign and you do not hear from anybody else until the next time they are running for re-election.”

Officials said the bus is what Ivanka Trump rode during her stops and debuts in Florida for her father's campaign.

It is also the same bus that sent rescue supplies to victims of Hurricane Matthew last October.

The last stop of the thank you tour will be in Pascagoula, Miss Thursday night.
