Hub City Transit is running again

January 25, 2017

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Hub City Transit has been down over the last few days because of the tornado.

All of the city's buses were damaged.

But, the city now has its public transit center up and running again.

Mayor of Hattiesburg, Johnny DuPree said, "We've been out since Saturday. But, we're back up and running today because of the Coast Transit Authority letting us use their buses until we can get back and running again. It's people helping people. It's jurisdictions helping other jurisdictions the way they can and whatever they can do. And, it's a wonderful thing that they reached out to us. We didn't have to reach out to them. And, we really do appreciate that."
