HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Employees of a national company strapped on their boots and volunteered at the tornado sites Friday morning.
Around 50 workers from different Home Depot stores in Louisiana and Mississippi cleared up roads and helped rebuild homes with United Way of Southeast Mississippi.
Home Depot Store Manager in Louisiana Matt Gebhart said, "It is what we are about, you know we understand that the community supports us."
Gebhart continued, "Anytime possible we want to get back out there and give where we can." The company also donated $4,700 worth of supplies to help with immediate relief efforts.
