Free Tetanus Vaccinations Available In Counties Affected by Tornadoes

JACKSON, Miss. - The following is a press release from the Mississippi Department of Health.

The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reminds all residents affected by the tornadoes that a tetanus vaccination is recommended if it’s been 10 years or more since your last tetanus vaccination.

In the event of a puncture wound or wound contaminated by floodwater, individuals should consult a healthcare provider. Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) vaccinations are available at all county health departments and are FREE for all Mississippi residents affected by the storms or first responders.
