Vehicle hits child in Midtown Hattiesburg, 'stable condition' authorities say

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - A child is listed in stable condition after being hit by a vehicle Thursday morning.

The incident happened around 9 a.m. in front of Kool Kids Smiles in midtown Hattiesburg said Lieutenant (Lt.) Jon Traxler with the Hattiesburg Police Department (HPD).

The child was taken to a local hospital, and shortly after was transferred to another hospital in Jackson.

Authorities are investigating the accident according to Lt. Traxler.
