Caerus Mardi Gras parade draws large crowd

February 13, 2017

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - It was a pretty big turnout for this year's Caerus Mardi Grad parade hosted by Keith's Superstore.

Residents enjoyed the give-a-ways and endless pounds of beads.  The streets were filled from Service road all the way to Hardy street.

Attendee and float rider, Shelbi Foster said her daughter, Karli, enjoyed it the entire time.

“Oh yeah she loved it, every bit of it, every time I looked up, she looked up trying to throw beads, and every time she seen somebody she would say aw  look at that mama, she just had a blast" said Foster.

Officials said there were around 50 floats with at least 50 people riding all of them.

Keith's Superstore said they hope to draw an even larger crowd next year.
