HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Several Southern Miss football players were at The Rock Tuesday afternoon trying to make their dream become a reality.
The team had its pro day where many NFL scouts were looking to see which Golden Eagles might fit best with their respected teams.
Quarterback, Nick Mullens said, "It's a great opportunity to come out and represent Southern Miss one more time and show the scouts that I'm good enough to play. I think the script showed I can make all the throws."
"My main focus was just to have a great time. My bench press, when I first got there, I was hitting 23. Today, I hit 28. My vertical, when I first got there, I was at a 28. Today, I jumped a 32. I did what I wanted to do. My numbers look a whole lot better from training. So, that's a good thing and it showed I put the work in," said defensive lineman, Dylan Bradley.
"I was lucky enough to work with Brett Favre. The advice he gave me was just worry about what you can control. Just take it one step at a time. Enjoy the process. And if you give it all you got, you're going to get an opportunity," said Mullens.
"I'm excited to get it over with. I'm glad it's over with. I'm glad I can just go on to the next phase of this and wait on my name to be called," said Bradley.
Bradley said he is leaving Wednesday to meet with the Minnesota Vikings. He will meet with the New Orleans Saints on April 14. And, he also has a visit with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Mullens said he has a visit with the San Francisco 49ers Thursday and will visit with the New Orleans Saints as well.
