Forrest county infant dies in burning trailer, body identified

FORREST COUNTY, MS. - A two month old infant died early Friday morning inside a burning trailer according to investigators.

Forrest County Coroner Lisa Klem identified the infant as Jacob Wardle. The incident happened on Boyte Road in South Forrest County.

Forrest County Investigator, Nick Calico said the mother was outside when the fire started. The mother was sent for medical treatment from attempting to save her child inside the trailer.

According to Klem Wardle's body is being sent to Jackson for an autopsy. Calico said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
