Mississippi Supreme Court gives the OK to "Judge Cutie"
JACKSON, Miss. - The Mississippi Supreme Court is allowing Forrest County justice court judge, Gay Polk-Payton to call herself "Judge Cutie."
According to reports, the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance wanted to reprimand Polk-Payton for referring to herself as "Judge Cutie" on social media because they believed she did that to promote herself as a singer and motivational speaker.
The commission also complained about her wearing her judge's robe on the cover of her book.
The court said Polk-Payton did not make any violations with the state Code of Judicial Conduct.
