Patriotic Children's Craft Day

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The African American Military History Museum is hosting its first ever Patriotic Children's Craft Day.

This is an event for children ages 5-10. And they will take part in five different patriotic-themed craft stations and learn about the importance of Independence Day.

General manager, Latoya Norman said, "Our kids are really big on technology. With this being a 1940's building, we want them to come and learn about some of those old school fun activities that they can do at home with their kids. It's really a time for parents to bond with their children, come in, color, paint, put together some really fun things. And they probably can take home some ideas that they can use at home over the 4th of July period."

This free event will take place Saturday at the African American Military History Museum, and will be from 12-2 p.m.

Registration is limited to the first 20 children.

If you are interested in advanced registration, you can call (601) 450-1942 for more details.
