BREAKING: Male body found inside SUV died from self-inflicted gun shot wound

HATTIESBURG, MS. - The dead body that was discovered last Thursday at the Dermatology Clinic of Hattiesburg parking lot died from a self-inflicted gun shot wound according to Lamar County Coroner Cody Creel.

Creel said he is still working to notify the next of kin to release the identification of the victim.

"The victim is a 32-year-old, white Caucasian male" said Creel. According to Creel the body has been inside the white Mercedes SUV for almost a week.

"The time of death is sometime during the weekend before the July 4 holiday" Creel stated. Hattiesburg police responded to the parking lot Thursday morning after receiving a call of a suspicious vehicle at 10:06 a.m.

Authorities said the Mercedes was registered in Tennessee and the case is still under investigation.
