Campers celebrate 56th Annual Abbie Rogers Civitan Camp

​​FORREST COUNTY, MS. - Adults with disabilities will end their week at Civitan Camp Friday.

Every year campers participate in swimming, boating, and countless activities as part of the 56th Annual Abbie Rogers Civitan Camp.

Director Kay Boone said, “Now the Adult Camp is actually my favorite, it is actually like a vacation, they get to choose everyday the four activities they are going to do the next day."

She added, "So every day is different, every day is exciting, and we wanted to make it feel like an adult vacation as much as possible.”

92 campers attended the week long event held at Camp Iti Kana. Pine Belt children with disabilities celebrated last week.
