Sumrall police chief resigns

SUMRALL, MS. - The Sumrall Police Chief of 7 years turned in his resignation according to the city's mayor.


Chris Dungan's last day was on Tuesday. Mayor of Sumrall Heath Sumrall said, "He wanted a changed."


According to Sumrall the department is taking applications until August 15. Sumrall said Assistant Chief Tony Kepper is in charge until a decision is made on the new police chief.
