USM police hosts 18th annual appreciation breakfast
HATTIESBURG, MS. - It was an early morning for the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) and Southern Miss Police Department.
The University hosted its 18th Annual Breakfast Appreciation at the Trent Lott Center on campus Tuesday.
USM and Southern Miss police showed their appreciation for area law enforcement, first responders, and public officials who assist the University with its public safety needs.
Chief Bob Hopkins stated he is thankful for the support the University receives from the community.
“Although we are a large entity on campus as far as campus police and public safety, we are limited as to what we are able to do."
He added, "And those relationships assure that if we need additional response to some emergency that they are there for us if we need anything.”
Around 150 people were present for the breakfast.
