R3SM receives a $12,000 check from a local church

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Recover, Rebuild, Restore South Mississippi (R3SM) received a $12,000 check Thursday from Heritage United Methodist Church.

The church raised the money through a benefit gospel concert to support R3SM’'s recovery effort following the EF-3 tornado that happened in January.

George Pace, member of Heritage United Methodist Church said, "I just wanted to do this for the people that weren't that lucky, that didn't have an out. This is our way of trying to help them see the light at the end of the tunnel, because I know they're facing some tremendous losses and difficulties through this."

This donation will help R3SM be able to continue helping rebuild, recover, and restore the Pine Belt.
