Hundreds of job seekers attend Lamar County job fair

LAMAR COUNTY, Miss. - Lamar County had its 4th annual job fair Wednesday at the storm shelter located on Central Industrial Row.

23 companies were in attendance for this job fair supplying information and giving guidance to the hundreds of people who were there looking for a job.

ADP community development director, Daniel Jayroe said, "It's important to help connect the unemployed with employers that have open positions and even employers that may have open positions in the future. The ADP just tries to be a conduit between job seekers and those employers."

There will be a job fair in Perry County on September 6 at the District 1 Community Center.
