Laurel man facing capital murder charges, allegedly kills 25-year-old man

LAUREL, MS. - A Laurel man is facing Capital Murder charges after police say he shot and killed his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend Sunday morning.

Police say they received a call from the ex-girlfriend at West Hill Apartments on West 10th street. "...A 911 call from a tenant who advised that her ex-boyfriend was attempting to forcefully gain entry to her apartment" says the LPD.

LPD arrested Justin Glenn, 22, after they discovered the body of Carl Fair, 25, on the ground. "Fair had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Fair’s body has been sent to Jackson for autopsy" says LPD.

Glenn is charged with Burglary to an Occupied Dwelling and Capital Murder. His initial appearance is Tuesday at the Laurel Municipal Court.
